About Author
Nyah Vululleh
The morning mist clung to the red earth of Lama Village like a shroud, where children’s laughter typically announced the dawn along Project Road between Tunudin and Kpain Town. In District 8 of Nimba County, life moved to the rhythm of subsistence farming and close-knit community bonds until November 12, 2002, when that rhythm was shattered forever.
Ten-year-old Nyah Vululleh awoke that morning at 5 a.m. to sounds that didn’t belong: heavy boots on packed earth, harsh voices cutting through the pre-dawn quiet. Charles Taylor’s rebels had come calling, and they brought death to his doorstep with the cold efficiency of practiced killers. In that terrible moment, watching his father fall, Nyah’s childhood ended, and his extraordinary journey began.
About the Book
"A War Without Guns:
The Synthetic Drug Crisis Destroying Liberia and West Africa – A Call to National Awakening"
“A War Without Guns: The Synthetic Drug Crisis Destroying Liberia and West Africa – A Call to National Awakening” is authored by Nyah Vululleh. This read is based on the fact that Liberia and West Africa are caught in a silent war. Unlike past conflicts, this war has no soldiers, no artillery, and no visible frontlines. Its weapons are synthetic drugs, cheap, powerful, and destructive, that are spreading through communities at an alarming pace. Substances like tramadol and kush are leaving families broken, schools emptied, and futures stolen.
